The Leader of the Defenders of Aventar

She carries Aria, a golden blade that brings light to the darkest and most forgotten ruins. She is known as the Protector of the Innocent and the Minstrel Warrior who fights under the symbol of the Alto Clef, an ancient glyph associated with wisdom in the pursuit of righteous victory, often chosen by officers and leaders on the battlefields of the seven provinces.
The Minstrel’s cape, diadem and crown are emblazoned with her crimson and gold charge, and her sword burns with pure flames that never fade.
Her battle magic is unrivaled, as she is able to call upon the very rays of the sun itself to disintegrate fiends that lurk in the shadows. She wears armor forged from the same priceless celestium as her legendary blade.
Prismatic Armor of the Sunrise

The Sunrise Warrior’s armor is built over a tunic, gloves and leggings made of magically hardened ducimite chain. Each applique is a single piece of cast reinforced celestium.
The bracers, triplates, shoulders and hauberk are plated with purified silverflake and the ornaments are worked in layered gold. The cinch is triple-woven taire cloth with gold trim. The armor skirt is celestium plate and the greaves are ducimite-reinforced heavy celestium lined with lightweave.

The crown, diadem, pauldrons and scabbard reinforcements are gold-layered silverflake.
Her cape is crimson and gold taire with the Sunrise Warrior’s Alto Clef Battle Symbol in cire embroidered across the back and duplicated on each shoulder. The cape attaches at the collar with a golden loop of woven cire cord. The collar of the cape is a white nightsilk band with thin golden trim. The cape is a rounded garment with sharp edges at the ends.

The lower edge of the cape is bordered by a double white nightsilk band with a thin white corded trim woven with pure gold flake on each side, deep crimson on the outside with a red lining.
Her earrings are large white sunstone gems and smaller garnets set in celestium and trimmed in relief with tiny raeflower leaves and oramented with silverflake flames worked in gold.
Teko, the Warrior of the Sunrise’s Companion

Teko is a short, heavy little bird somewhat resembling a barn owl. He has very thick feathers and strong talons and is an excellent flier. He is an inquisitive bird, and he is fascinated by anything mechanical or colorful.
Not long after Jessica discovers the Ajan Treasures, she learns that Teko has a number of magical talents, including the ability to make extraordinarily delicate flowers appear in his beak. Each flower looks like a long-stemmed tulip, and seems to have a different power, including the ability to heal wounds or cause a bright light to illuminate a small area.
Teko is very loyal and understands Jessica’s words, since he seems to be able to follow instructions, and from his familiar perch on her shoulder, he pays close attention to anything Jessica is reading or any object she picks up. Teko is also quite fond of apples.
